Most manufacturers recommend once a year, which is good advice. Also if your car pulls to the left or the right, or one or more of your tires show a funny wear pattern (tread thinner on one edge of tire than the other edge, chops or bumps on the edge of a tire, etc.) you should have the alignment checked. You should also have your tires rotated about every 6,000 miles. HTH! FWIW, I do not clean pools for a living, I have worked in a Chrysler dealership for over 27 years, ASE Master Technician with L1 certification, Chrysler Master Technician, and State certified in emission testing and repairs. And the written tests are done every 5 years to make sure you keep up with the latest technology. I'm just trying to professionally answer someone's question as best as I can. Sorry if I offended you.

If you're not showing any signs of abnormal tyre wear then it does not require an alignment. An alignment is not a maintenance operation, it should only be done if required. Jules. Automotive lecturer. Australia.
