Sounds like the same fungus that I get on my snowdrift crab apple tree. I just found out this year that once the mold gets on the leaves, it is practically impossible to get rid of it. I was told to wait until next spring, and before the buds begin to open, spray the branches and buds with a dormant oil spray, that will protect the foliage for the whole year.

that's mold. Don't eat the fruit now! I strongly suggest you go to Home Depot and take a leaf or two with you. Ask an associate to help you find the correct spray.

pear blight,comes around every third year or so.try going to farm supply store,not wallyworld,they should have correct control agent.or wait for next years crop.
