LOL, your name is funny.
Anyway, babies are pretty expensive, yes.
Diapers cost about 600-650 the first year. Babies can POOP.
Formula, I'm not sure, because I'm breastfeeding. But that stuff gets costly too.
Although for both diapers and formula, if you go to the formula and diaper websites such a Huggies, Pampers, Enfamil, Similac, etc. and register, they'll send you great coupons and checks and samples that save you a ton of money.
Then there's the carseat, which you've got to have in order to take the baby home from the hospital. That'll cost anywhere from $40 to about $250.
A crib, which may cost from $120 to thousands.
Clothes, bedding, bottles, bouncers, swings, toys, and God knows what else will set you back upwards of $500 big ones.
I probably left some stuff out, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

it really depends on what you do with them, breastfed babies are much cheaper in one year a baby goes through
1)diapers ~10 a day for 365 days 3650 a package of 80 is 10$ for luvs or store brand. 3650 /80 = 45. so you will need approx 45 packages of diapers or 450.00 worth
2) if you use formula you will need about three $8 cans per week 24 per week is $1248 for a year
3) you will need the start up supplies which incude, but are not limited to, a crib, carseat, stroller, clothes, bottles, pacifiers, bedding, swing, diaper bag, and toys. If you have a big baby shower and register beforehand then you will likely get a lot of this stuff. But just for the purpose of cost, you can probably get all of this stuff for about 1,000 dollars.

we are looking at approximately 2698 for the first year.

If you are looking to go the cheapest (not always easiest) way possible, then there are some things that you can do to save money.

First, make sure that you have health insurance. If you do not qualify for insurance through work or the state then you are far better off paying for health insurance to begin with then paying for doctors bills later.

Breast Feeding is always the cheapest option for feeding a baby. For the first 4-5 months of a babies life, this is all they need. If this is not an option then you can purcahse less expensive formular from Wal-Mart that is equal to the more expensive brands. This is about ten dollars a week, increased to 20 dollars a week when your baby gets older.

Baby food can be made from fresh foods at home and stored in the freezer. This is also the healthiest choice. This can be made from what you are cooking for the rest of your family(minus condiments and extra flavors) and pureed to the right texture in a blender or food processor. It's easiest to make large batches and freeze serving size portions. Otherwise, go for the lesser expensive brands but be sure to check the ingrediants to be sure it's not loaded with fillers and preservatives. You can also enrol in WIC programs (mothers and fathers) to get help with formula costs.

Clothing can be expensive, but if you have a big family then baby showers and hand me downs help a lot. Also check out stores like Goodwill for good deals. Shop online for cheap auctions. If you're crafty at all you can make clothing. If you plan to have more children then save baby clothes to hand down (if in good condition).

Cloth diapers are a great way to save money and the environment. It's a lot of work but its worth it. You can also use a cloth diaper service that saves you from the cleaning process, but is more expensive.

Other baby equipment (bottles, swings, bassinets) and toys are best bought new. Try discount stores, Wal-Mart and shop around online. You can go to yard sales but make sure you inspect the products closley.

I hope this helps.

If you do it right not very much at all...

Breastmilk- FREE
Cloth diapers- under $400 for birth to potty learning.
Crib- not needed, co sleep
Stroller- not needed, buy 3 yards of fabric and make a sling...$12
Clothes- Buy used, under $500
Babyfood- make your own, add about $20 or so a month to your grocery bill

Formula and disposable diapers are not needed at all.

I'll try to remember, well for all the shots{needles} it adds up to a good 500$ or so considering shots are alot of money these days..um, a room...crib, all those things can be a good 2,500$...Food can add up to alittle bit, um...simple things like a stroller and stuff like that {I know i'm forgeting things} all add up to probbly a nice...7,000$ total? I'd save up 10,000$ if I were you though.

the cost of having a child is never ending they depend on you for at least 18 years and sometimes it doesn't stop there. The job as a parent is never ending you can't just stop whenever you want or the child grows up you are a parent for the rest of your life.

U plan on having one? I don't know the exact amount but I suggest that you have your ducks in a row and plan before you have one. It will be easier that way. But don't get worried if everything doesn't work out step by step b/c that is called life and you can't control everything.

I'm unsure of the dollars and cents, but if we waited til we could really afford them, there wouldn't be any. Babies are very costly now days. The cost of diapers and formula alone are horrendous. But babies are priceless
