Regarding your mind going blank...Sitting down to try and write just to write is difficult. Try doing some physical excercise to get your mind rolling first and then sit down to write. Try cleaning or a brisk walk. Get your general topic in your mind before you start doing the work so you can think about it while you are doing the physical work. Ramping up your metabolism will help to stimulate your thinking. When you sit down to write try keeping a cup of coffee or soda close by. This may sound like abuse, but in moderation is ok...the caffine in the drink will keep you going. Only write for an hour or so to prevent your brain from lulling to something else. Regarding your specific paper...If you need something technical about process try using the implementation of Quality Control in the workplace over the last couple of decades and the Six Sigma process. That topic is about as technical as it gets.

I had a class like that. Each week we had to write a short discussion on a technical paper... I often used product instructions, recipes, even websites that gave steps to fix a computer problem I was having.

For some reason i reccomend a stun gun. FOr reasons that the paper can be written both on the technical aspects of the technology but also the technical aspects of what the technology does to the human body inpaticuaraly the central nervous system.
