how do i get rid of a spyware that takes me to a spyware site as internet homepage?

i get an alert saying my computer is infected and no matter how many times i change my homepage setting it goes back to a spyware blocker site. in the homepage listing it comes up as about:blank

You need to now follow these instructions very carefully:

1) back up any important personal files you may want to keep onto a CD.

2) Reformat your hard drive completely.

3) Right after you reload your operating system onto your computer and before you connect to the internet. Install the most updated versions of both Norton Anti-Spyware and Spysweeper.

4) Connect to the internet and download any updates for Norton, then reboot, and continue to check Norton for any updates until you are satisfied you got them all. Then download all updates for Spysweeper and reboot and try and get more updates until you see that you have all updates for that. Then go to Windows-Updates and download all updates for windows and reboot etc. until you have gotten all those updates done. Then feel free to browse the web.



Simply trying to remove any form of spyware at this point is useless unless you have a degree in computer hardware and software. Simply removing the files isn't enough because the spyware/virus has already done the damage it set out to do. Unfortunatly there is no other solution and if you don't follow those steps carefully your poor computer is doomed to a life of failures until you get so mad at it you go out and buy a new one. And even then unless you immediately install the above referenced things before you connect to the internet, you will have the same problems again and again.

Ouch, your browser has been hijacked! You can try running some antispyware programs such as Windows Defender which you can download for free using the link below however most anti-spy programs work better in protecting you from getting hijacked, rather than fixing the hijacked problem that already exists.

If I were you, I would back up your hard-drive and re-image it by reinstalling the operating system and starting fresh. THAN download Windows Defenfer.

Please note, Windows Defender will need a valdate your operaring system to insure it's authenticate so don't try to install it if you're using a bootleg OS.

if you have a spyware problem, then you definetely need some professional help, fortunately companies like microsoft and symantec are aiding for free all computer users, since this spyware problem is actually doing so much harm to their business that most large companies like ibm and microsoft are teaming up to try to eradicate this problem.

your just gonna have to buy something for it. I havn't found anything that works for free. I had that problem the other day, but now I have it all cleared up. Good luck. I know how bad it sucks. Just google spyware but I honestly don't think you can find something good unless you plan on spending at least $20.00 but you can use it over and over so I think its worth it.

I would recommend getting norton internet security software. My computer got infected by spyware and adware, norton removed it easily.

Get and run Microsoft Defender.

use an spyware protection and scan revomal, I use Microsoft AntiSpy Ware & AdAware SE Personal, they work great and there free as long as you keep it, its free scan and updates,:-)
