It does sound like your brake pads have worn down to the metal, now they are grinding into your rotors which will now have to be rotated or replaced. Take it to the shop ASAP for new brake pads and rotors! I would also suggest getting the brake pads with the warning indicators, so that it will make a squealing sound before it starts to grind into the rotors.

The brake pads are most likely worn down to nothing. The brake pad backing is grinding against the brake rotors. The brake pads and rotors should be looked at by a mechanic immediately. You could lose your brakes completely.

Dude, it sounds like your brake pads are worn through and your rotors are being ground. This is extremely serious and you need to take care of it asap. I had this problem with my 1986 acura and they told me it could mean my brakes could fail at any time. It can be expensive, so find a good mechanic.

You need a tune-up which will include brake service, tire rotation and a full inspection. Costs around $25 at Midas.

OOHHH!! That sounds bad! Think a little, and you will see the light. You need a very expensive brake job, probably including new drums/rotors.

It's definitely a brake problem, but don't let it go to long because you run the risk of having to replace the rotors and that is EXPENSIVE
