It always seems like a good idea to get back in theory. When it happens, it usually reminds you of why you broke up in the first place. I've made this mistake and kicked myself many a time for doing it! There are those exceptions to the rule when it does get better the next time around, due to maturity or reason, but not normally.
I say it like this: If we loved each other than hated each other, is there really a good chance to find this love again? If so, let's try. If not, let''s not rewind and view this film of pain again!! :)

My ex and I broke up because i had some family issues and i was going to move in with my mom and sister to help them out, and then a year later he calls and says he's still in love with me, so we got back together,he then broke up with me because he didn't know what he wanted. So I would have to say leave things in the past. Ur just gonna bring on another heart ache. maybe...it might work out for u.

Well it really depends on what happened in the past. But I think that everyone deserves a second chance. If it's not working out. Then talk to him about what's wrong with your relationship.

Depends. If the issue is trust or infedelity then going back is not a good idea, in my opinion.
But if it's something like, I took you for granted, sorry, I want to make it up to you, then it could be better the 2nd time around!

depends on what you broke up for to begin with, and also whether or not you're both forgive-and-forget kinds of people. if you end up back together, there must've been something special there. however, if it's going to truly work, you both must work on changing the qualities that broke you up AND agree to never talk about the past again.

Once I take out the "trash" it's never allowed back in. It stays in the past where it belongs.

I wouldn't know. When it was over it was over. If it wasn't good the first time and we couldn't fix it then why should I be naive enough to think we wouldn't be miserable together again?
