Saw was okay. A bit high on the gore scale. Don't know if that's recent enough. If you can find Master's of Horror: Incident on and off a Mountain Road on DVD, then that's a good one, though it's only an hour (from Showtime). The story was written by Joe R. Lansdale, one of my favourite writers.

Prozac Nation is scary because of how bad a movie it is and how bad the acting is. But in seriousness, that remake of The Hills Have Eyes looks really scary and Hostel is really good. It doesn't scare you like "boo" ya know, but it's very disturbing. I highly recommend it. It is humanity at it's worst.

Skeleton key, not so new though. The recent ones are Silent Hill, Saw-2, Hostel.
