Negatives and drama bring higher ratings than feel-good stories. On the other hand, their job is to report the news, not find solutions.

The Main Stream Media restricts itself to just "reporting the news" and not providing any editorial or solutions. It was started years ago as a way to educate individuals and let them know what was happening in the world.

Now people mostly get their news from radio or Internet sites and do not wait until the 6 or 6:30 news to see what happened. They want to make up their own minds and not have the newsreader slant the news to that particular newsreader's point of view.

Mostly the news is just what bad stuff happened. That is what sells on the news. "If it bleeds, it leads!"

The media is suppose to inform you of what's going on. YOU are suppose to help be part of the solution by voting, petitioning, etc. If you can ignore their oppions and hear the actual news, then that will help bring about change.
