I disagree. I think that most men know and respect that the vast majority of women online are not looking for sex or sexual conversation. And the men who keep badgering the women with sexual talk are just so desperate to communicate with any woman that they'll imagine the woman actually likes their vile and invasive comments. These are the kind of men who can't get close to a woman in the real world as they are completely lacking in personality and have absolutely no redeeming qualities. But speaking as a normal and decent male, I try to always be respectful regardless of who I am talking to.

It isn't so much that men think women online are only looking for sex. It's more that most men online are looking for sex. They're just trying to find a woman online that's looking for sex too.

I haven't heard that before; usually, I hear the opposite: that guys are only looking for sex. Although your perception of things is unusual, it may have to do with the advertising of dating sites that suggest at the sheer volume of women looking. A common internet user might combine that "fact" with the realization that there are (still) relatively few women online at all, suggesting that those who are on are probably also on these dating sites. Although this leap of "logic" is a bit farfetched, you might have encountered a couple guys online who took that leap, thereby giving you an unfortunately distorted view of all men.

I must not be in the same place you are 'cause I've met some men on line that aren't just looking for sex. Actually had intelligent conversations with them. Hm, I use to think that men were sexist, but I've just learned a new leason. It seems women can be as well.
