I don't know what the essentials are, but if you fold all your clothes sideways(left to right), then roll them, it'll save space and help stop them wrinkling.
Never mind what the boys say. You are all woman and need womanly things, so bring what ever the hell you like girl!!!
In fact - I'd bring even more just so none of them felt left out, and had nothing to carry for you! No point going on holiday with all this man if your not gonna use them for something!! LLF
Have a good time though!

Start packing early, it takes much longer than you think. Start with winter gear if it’s summer or vice versa, you’ll find there are loads of things that you don’t use every day and that can be packed in advance.
If you are moving yourself start gathering boxes. Either pick up free boxes from local supermarkets, or order packing boxes online, this is slightly more expensive but it’s guaranteed and you can usually choose the box sizes you want.

1. LUGGAGE
If your suitcase or bag is more than eight years old, the first trip you should take is to check out more modern luggage. The latest fabrics and plastics are much lighter, more durable and far easier to wheel or to carry than they've ever been.
2. TAKE A SMALL DAY-BAG TOO
A lightweight smaller bag is also a necessity, either a little shoulder day-pack or a bag with a strap that can be worn across the body, for going out at your destination.

Some things you can share with your friends, like: toothpaste, shampoo, bath liquid soap, (make sure one of you bring)
If you can find paper panties at your convenient stores, bring more than a week, so you don't have to hang your laundries around, as all are guys.
Napkins and tissues are just in case. Nobody will bring it for you.
If you wash your clothes daily, bring 2 extras will do. If you go for one week, you only have to wash 4 days.
Better still, if you don't wash your clothes.
Anyways, have a nice vacation!
P.S. don't forget your birth-control pills! just in case, well... who knows?!

This won't help with the weight of your case unfortunately but get some airtight packing bags (Target's very good) It won't make the bag any lighter but you will be able to cram in a lot more stuff. Or, failing that , buy it while you're there

When I went travelling, they advised me to pack my bag, half it, then half it again. I'm so glad I did! Decide on a bag size and what doesn't fit in doesn't go. You can always buy stuff there if you need it.

Leave the drugs at home, you can buy plenty when you're there. Seriously, you don't need much, swimwear and sarongs are okay for just about anywhere.
