I am sooo obsessed with phantom of the opera. Well, mainly that version. I watch it ALL the time, LOVE the music, think it's one of the best movies, etc. That answer you question?
But really, I think he did a fantastic job. great people to do the parts, some of the scenes were sooo neat, and everything else is GREAT!!! so yeah, I think he did a great job. lol.
You?

It's a good movie. It could have been better, but that's true for all movies, so it's not fair to hold it against him too much.
I have to wonder how many of the less-great parts are due to Joel and how much are due to Andrew Lloyd Webber.

I love that movie! I have a few quibbles about lips not matching up to voices in certain spots and really didn't like Gerard Butler's version of "Music of the Night" until it grew on me.
But, on the whole, it was just the kind of lush, epic movie that I wish they made more of. I'd love to see a film version of "Les Miserables" next.

I think he did a great job. His casting was excellent, I loved that he didn't use the same people we see on the big screen all the time.
