I have another account with another website and I have a profile tracker on it, but the only way it works is if the people who view your profile are members. Otherwise it will just give you a date, time, and ip address. When you click on the ip address, it will tell you where you are from but not a name. The reason I ask this is because there is someone who looks at my profile 20 times a day, like they are spying on me. I think I know who it is, but ?I need to be sure. Please help.

Thank you all for your help. I know where the person lives. They live in a small town, but the ip address said they are in a city, that is why I am confused. One of the links , you guys/girls have ave me did tell me the inernet provider, which the person who I suspect does have. Weird?

Narrowing it down to one person will be all but impossible. You can go to samspade.org and get in the ballpark. That may only get you as far as the ISP though. This difficulty is exactly what you hear about with RIAA trying to fine music pirates. They can get to the ISP but then what...they sue the ISP for their client list. I don't know if you are ready to go that far :-). If anyone else knows how to get more specifics I would also be interested.

You can get pretty close to the person with an IP address if you have a lot of money to spend but in general you'll never get their real ID info with-out going to court first and they don't hand out court orders unless you have a good reason to have the info. (ie: law enforcement)

Another way is to search google for the IP in quotes and hope the person posts to any forums that log and show IPs on the post. Google will find them if they are there. Problem with this is most people have dynamic IPs that change every time they make a new connection to the net.

But if you can find things you know that the person you suspect has posted with an IP or even an IP found in e-mail headers from them, you can compare the IP from the mail or post with the IP in your tracker if you get a mail/post from them and a hit on your tracker in or close to the same day. The likelihood that you have a match decreases proportional to the amount of time passed between mail/post and tracker hit.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOgND

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Unfortunately the geobuttons one is the best option for find an IP address however it stops at an ISP.

ISP's assign their users IP's that change with every login. However, if they have Brodband or a static IP it won't change. Or, if they are on a LAN or WAN you'll only get to the point of the router all internal IP's are masked.

however, people can use proxy servers to mask their IP's also.

Give this site a shot. You can't find exactly who the IP belongs to in most cases since the IP that would be showing up for a user on the internet would be coming to them from their service provider. This should give you who their service provider is though.

If its that much of a concern to u maybe u should report this person. If u have an idea on who this person might be then i'm assuming u know where this person lives. There are ip scanners that can be used to locate a persons country/town.
