GUD is an Australian comedic music based trio including Paul McDermott, Cameron Bruce and Mick Moriarty. The Name GUD, is supposedly a pun of the way Americans say "GOD", after watching the Oscars and noticing it often sounds like "Thank you GUD". Since 2002 they have been performing in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Their 2003 show, "Gud Ugh", won The Age Critic's Choice Award for Best Show Of The Festival. Gud are doing an Australian Tour, mainly focusing on regional areas, in late 2005.

Awesome means literally "full of awe" - but people use it when trying to express that something is very good. If a painting is beautiful, some might say, "That is an awesome painting."

As for Gud - I don't even think that's a word. Perhaps it is misspelled?

I think you mean "good" and "awesome." They are just words you use when describing something that you find interesting or great. Awesome is a more exaggerated form of good.
