Not all MBAs are equal. An MBA from a top school can open a lot of doors.

If you are unhappy with your job, it might be easy to get a new job, but hard to get a job in a different profession. With an MBA from a top school, it is much easier to do.

In addition, many students who get an MBA at a top school are able to double their salaries.

Most programs, other than at the top schools, are part time programs. Those students will not usually switch careers or get big salary bumps. They are usually getting the MBA to increase their skills and to help them move up in their current organizations.
