Lets be honest here, there is no law to say you must install anti-virus software. But then it won't take long for one of the computers to be hacked or infected with a virus or spy-ware if you aren't properly protected. There are a few free applications available to download. I use AVG personal. It's completely free and so are the updates.

Yes! All computers connected to the router can access the internet simultaneously or independently of each other. You are merely sharing the internet connection.

YES.... one on each system otherwise you leave one vunerable...... trust me i've set up a few networks on wireless routers and while my comp is having a few probs lately the ones i've set up for other people aren't... go figure (it's cause i download so much and play around with alot of software that most people wouldn't do)

but firewall and antivirus both comps....

Yes, you should. Firewalls would be a good idea, too - some routers have a firewall already installed on it, but you can never be too careful.
