The first time was definately short, which was expected. However, after that, he found it difficult to keep an erection. I'm sure this is due to performance anxiety; however, how can I comfort him or what can we do to help with this potential problem. He's very concerned.

Chances are, it was the embarassment of finishing so quickly the first time. It weighed on his head thus preventing the erection later. Just tell him and show him that it's ok. YOU make the first move the next few times. This will, in his head, show that you're really ok with it...

I had this problem when I had sex for the very first time. He's just nervous it's all in his head. Don't pressure him into having sex, Wait a week or so and see if he initiates it. If he doesn't and a week has past you initiate it. Try to keep stimulating him to make it easier for him to keep an erection.

5 years is a long time!! there are other ways to please each other and you should try that till the anxiety is gone!! The less pressure to preform the better for both. Don't approach like a "sex" situation. Tell him you don't expect sex, you just want to feel good.

Don't confront him. What the hell are you thinking! It's the first time, have sex at least once a day for the next month and then see how things are, I'll bet they are better. Good luck and don't worry, he is probably a little nervous.

You had sex for the first time "last night", but then you say "after that". How many times did you have sex? Give it a week, at least!
