if i get on birth control to regulate my periods how long will it take for me to get pregnant? i have the worst luck with birth control too many side effects.

Of course I am going to say - ask your doctor. If you are on birth control obviously the pill can be 99% effective if taken everyday at the same time. However, there is always a small chance of pregnancy. And if you do get pregnant on the pill then you have to stop taking them immediately to ensure a healthy pregnancy. When you get off the pill your body has to resume it's normal cycle and it can take several months to get pregnant.

I would stay away from Birth Control if you can. Talk to your doctor if there is anything else that you can do. I think that you are wise to question going on the pill, and if your periods aren't too crazy you are probably better off without taking hormones that could screw up your fertility.

Talk to your Doctor, but ask about the pill called Seasonalle. It regulates your periods so you only have 4 per year! Love that. Also, i have not had any nausea or acne. Light spotting when I started my first pack, but hang in there because it does go away. My doctor told me about that in advance. Do not go on the patch. I tried it and hated it. Now they're saying it causes women to have strokes! But, they say that about the pill too...... you just have to talk to you doctor to find what's best for you.

well for one you can't get pregnant on birth control that's why they call it birth control it keeps you from getting pregnant duh and if you have side effects to it then it's just how u react to it.

stop taking them, they make you gain weight and i also hear they cause cancer. I used to take them but i stop cause they screw up ur body
