take the body of every 'insurgent' killed, smear it in lard, wrap it in pig skin and bury it face down. Do that a few times and it will reduce the number of willing insurgents by 95%,

If I were President, the first thing that would happen is that Saddam would have an "accident" in prison. Gitmo would be closed. We would slowly remove our troops from all foreign countries. Post military forces (with weapons) at any and all places of entry into this country (sea ports, airports, etc). We are not protecting our country by fighting in another country. If our military is policing the people coming into the country, then we can't have another 9/11 because the people can't get in. Militarize the borders to Mexico and Canada. Also put better controls on our sea borders. Not necessarily a huge amount of forces on the beaches/borders, but having the military monitor the edges of our country. Close off all aid to any foreign country in any form. Let the rest of the world take care of itself. Keep our troops at home. Send the angry foreigners home. If they don't like America, why are they here? Deport all people that don't speak English within two years of coming here. Well, there's more, but I think that's enough of a rant. Thanks.
P.S. I am not a wacko conservative or wacko liberal. I am a very staunch hard line moderate.

I would do what we are doing now which is holding it until the Iraqi's can protect and police themselves. Then when they show they can this, I would withdraw most if not all of the troops (depends if we establish a base there or not, etc). We fight the war as long as it needs fighting. We don't need soldiers along the mexican border, we need walls with guard posts. We should invade Iran if they keep trying to develop nuclear weapons since someone who has openly declared that he wants to wipe an entire country off the map having a nuclear aresenal is a bad idea. No, Saddam should be executed for killing hundreds of thousands of people in acts of genocide.

Putting Saddam in power could help bcoz the people will want to kill him instead of the US arms & by the time u can come out of Iraq & then force Saddam to resign.

If the USA want to the right thing they should call for the reasonable country to have a purposive solution meating on what to do and how to handle Iraq problem. this will contribute an adeology of non-abiatry of power or personal economic interest.

It is just going to end up being another Vietnam and a no win situation. I think we should never have been there and should pull out before anymore useless deaths. The United States cannot save the world.

Gotta keep going. If we pulled everyone out now, the situation in the Middle East would get worse, and we'd end up having to deal with it anyhow.

i wouldn't want the job--too much stress and no matter what you do, someone is upset and makes a stink. I'd hate it. God bless anyone who is willing to do it
