Depends on how old he is. When mine was almost two, I introduced him to our garbage collecter who paid him a dollar for his bottle. That night when he asked for his bottle I reminded him that he sold it and he slept with his dollar bill instead.

Buy a sippy cup that has the nipple just like the bottle and they will love it. My baby is 9 months and likes to drink out of her sippy cup but when she drinks milk it is out of the bottle anything else it is in the sippy cup.

When he's about six months old, start giving him his formula/breast milk in a sippy cup. He might not catch on right away, but keep trying. Just don't force him to take the cup...if he's not ready, he's not ready. Eventually, he'll grasp the concept (no pun intended, lol) of the cup, and will drink from it just like he drinks from his bottle.

Well, on my sons first birthday, I took his bottles and packed them up and told him he was a big boy now, and bottles were for babies....He helped me put them in the box and never asked for one again. Get some spill proof sippy cups....Good luck.

One day I threw away all of my babies bottles and replaced them with sippy cups, she would ask for a baba and I would hand her a sippy and say here is your baba. lol, boy was she mad at me for a couple of days. But she got used to it and still calls her sippy cupd baba.
