Is it my imagination or does my kitchen stay less cluttered now that my dishwasher is broken?

Our dishwasher has been acting up and we have been doing our washing up after every meal. I think the kitchen is actually neater.
I miss the thing but I sort of like the fact that things get washed and put away in smaller batches. I only use the dishwasher every 3 days.
Has anyone else noticed that a lack of technology can be a good thing.

I think you're right! Dishwashers come in handy for large gatherings and mounds of dishes. But if you're not going to run it and empty it every day, hand washing seems to do the job quite nicely. Besides, it's really not a good idea to keep dirty dishes in the washer for 3 days; bugs and hygeine are at question here. Sometimes, lack of technology is alot better. Remember when we didn't have cell-phones everywhere we went? Funny how we did without and it didn't matter. Scaling down is something to be proud of!

The only thing I've noticed with lack of technology being good was when my lawn mower broke down. I found that I had a lot more time on my sundays lol.
