THe older I get, the funnier Bugs Bunny becomes. you learn to enjoy the expression drawn i nthe cartoons and the reactions drawn in as well. Alas, until you get rid of cable or satelite TV and just bring back Saturday morning cartoons, it's hopeless.

U are the most supid of all people in the world, how could u think anime suks, it accutally has some meaning other than comedy, all bugs bunny has is comedy which gets boring fast, while anime has everything and more, it can have action, romance, drama, comedy, tragedy, spirtual, and many many more. Who cares if bugs bunny is a classic, there are good animes out there that are classics too. If u hav watched one anime, that is good, u will begin to think taht bugs bunny is for kids. Start wit Full Metal Panic, then watch teh second season, then and only then u are allowed to complain about anime, if u have never seen a good anime, then y are u allowed to complain? Also its not called Japnese anime, since all anime is from japan, and if its not then its a cartoon. Also dont watch anime that has been edited into english, its crap, the japanese version is always better. Americans are dumdasses, when they try to change an anime to their own way, thats y the american one piece or CardCaptor Sakura is crap, while the Japanese version became many peoples favorites. Go Anime Yay!

Are you an animation/film major? Many animation majors would think that anime is crap....mainly because the style looks similar in everything.
Even so, Warner Bros aren't the only ones, if you are referring to classics. I love watching the old Popeye, Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, Superman, etc. I'm actually trying to collect as many old classics as I can!
I grew up with anime and love it. And the first style I learned was anime also. But in college, I learned so much about animation and different styles, that I liked less of anime. Although, anime isn't all that bad! Just more techniques of animation came from old non-japanese classics. But I must admit, anime can be really good if you find the right ones. It all depends on what you are looking for. Sometimes it's cheap laughs, sometimes it's a good plot, and sometimes, it's technique. Or hey, maybe all!
I realized that I am talking more about techniques. I hope I was clear on what I was talking about. I'm still learning.

How can you say that.
Don't knock it tell you tired it. I know Bugs Bunny and the rest are classics, I used to watch it when I was little, but Anime is the future so get used to it.
There's plenty of shows that apeal to different people with different interest, just find your and you'll understand why we love Anime so much.
Anime teaches moral values, how to be a stronger person inside and out and show how people can change with in time.
For me Looney Toons is just funny.
Anime has meaning.
Plus if you have such a big problem with it stop bugging us, people like what they like no matter what others say.
No ones making you watch, why don't you buy some Looney Toon tapes.

They'll realize it as soon as you realize that everyone is welcome to their own opinion and no one is right or wrong on a subject like this. I do agree that Bugs Bunny and such are very good and have great comedic ability. For more serious matter, and usually for much more beautiful pictures, I do prefer anime as they capture dramatic story lines better and usually have much more detailed and beautiful art work.

It all depends. I like Bugs AND Anime. I'll never forget the magical warmth and happiness that Bugs gave me. But I also won't ever forget the sakura (like power in anime) or feeling of uniqeness that i got from cuddling up with my obsessed brother while watching it either. So you can say that they "suck" but the people who like it shouldn't listen or care about what you say, but about what they feel or think. Just think about sticks and stones, bounce off me and onto to you? Now you can say i'm a wussy (i'm not even I think it's a bit sappy and long) but..... CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!

You asked, so I took my time to answer your question. So, I would like you to take your time to READ my WHOLE COMMENT.

First question:
Have you watched Japanese animation? Have you?!

Japanese animation is what I call smart cartoons. They have complex storylines and beautiful artwork. And most of the animation is base off stories, legends, myths, and novels. They all have powerful themes that emphasis on good vs. evil.

“The term anime refers to a distinctive tradition of Japanese animation that is almost immediately recognizable by its superior artistic quality as well as by the somewhat mannered artistic conventions anime artists employ, such as the preference for child-like, large eyes. But it's not just the art that grabs one's attention.

In contrast to the flat, Good vs. Evil plots in U.S. cartoons, many anime stories deal with complex, thought-provoking themes, presenting complex characters that change as the stories progress. There's a ready acceptance of the reality of death. In some anime, even those intended for kids, main characters sometimes die. Although there's as much silliness and trash in anime as in any other popular medium, it's a fair generalization to say that it's a more intelligent genre than American cartoons. For anyone used to Disney's predictable plots and platitudes, one's first encounter with anime produces shock, followed by fascination. It's serious stuff.

Anime also provides a window into another culture. In ways that many anime fans scarcely guess, anime draws strongly from Japanese and wider Asian mythology and symbolism generally, and specifically from the rich Japanese traditions of Shinto, the martial arts, and Zen” (1).

You have a right to your opinion, but some of you guys are acting as if there is no such thing as free will or opinions, or creativity. To the people that declare they hate anime and that anime fans have no taste, have you watched anime? Have you watched a show long enough to understand it? Because they truly are beautiful shows that has great moral values…

Second question:
Do you like fantasy?

If you don’t then you have no true argument here. Sounds harsh, but true. If you don’t like fantasy, then maybe you can’t get into a show enough to understand it. Because mostly anime is fantasy. If you don’t like fantasy, you can not judge something that you could not understand.

But if you like fantasy and still “hate” anime. I think that you have fooled yourself. You haven’t watched anime long enough to be properly introduced to it. Because anime is the best fantasy shows you could come across. The only other place you could find great fantasy is in books…

If you like fantasy, it’s very sad because you don’t know what you are missing out on.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. But it’s my wish that anyone that speaks negatively against anime, needs to do research first. Watch some more of the shows and research what the writer’s and artist put into their works. They put in a great deal. Japanese animation has become an artwork in this day and age… it’s sad if anyone refuses to look at something someone has put their heart and soul into…

Thank you for your time.

I agree with this. The cartoons that they have out now suck. What ever happened to the old cartoons like bugs bunny and daffy duck. You know all the cool cartoons.

i apologise if this msg hurts you....

you cant force one to do your bidding

have you ever seen anime (japanese animation in your terms)? if not then you have no right to say that it is crap, some of us might say that that bugs is crap or any of your like is crap....would you have liked it?
