whoa now this is definitely a debate!!
i think their both excellent in their music. Michael Jackson has undoubtedly done the most for the music industry and has created a household name that is 'Michael' which includes clothes, phrases, dance moves and high pitched sounds!
But R.Kelly has created a whole new style of rnb and integrated it into the pop music industry. He has open up the door for many other RnB artists to break into commercial music as well as created that soft-but-fast-speaking complex lyric singing style that so many artists have copied and adapted.
Unfortunately they both seem to love little children which puts a whole shade of dark on their exceptional musical ability.
I personally like Michael Jackson more because I loved the Jackson 5. And also because through all the stages in his life he has produced great music and I've liked more of his music than R. Kelly's.

Micheal Jackson he may get bad press these days but as a artist he's a legend, also I think musically he's been more influential than R Kelly.
