I would because a cow offers something more that milk, beef. It could also become my pet.

Because then the cow is yours and only you get to milk it. If you are getting the milk for free but you didn't buy the cow then someone else churning that butter as well.

Although some people have a cow and still get their milk someplace else.

I get what you are saying here! I do feel what you feel here if someone lives with you and is free and you do not have to commit to the person in marriage and get the sex for free then you may never want to commit or marry that person. I for one would not want to be a free cow to or for anyone! I would want to be treasured and loved and worth far more then rubies and be a virtuos woman and wife to my husband!
