I am 48 and fairy tales were such a great part of my childhood, that I still enjoy them. I enjoy any fairy related things too. I don't collect anything related, but I still enjoy.
You're not mental - you're probably far more intellectually grounded than those girls whose days and nights are spent daydreaming about getting a man because they don't feel fulfilled without one.

Whether they are fairy tales, or fokelore or myths and legends, it's OK. You learn a lot about a nation though its tales of heroism and sacrifice.

Yes, it is perfectly okay. As long as you can keep a firm grip on reality, there is nothing wrong with having an escape from it! I use horror/murder mysteries as my escape. Everyone needs a little quirk that makes them original.
