The only sure way to get rid of it is to format the hard drive and reinstall windows. The people that allow your PC to be infected with this stuff get better and craftier every day with methods for circumventing anti-virus and spyware protection. Its a never-ending battle. You are better off just formatting the hard drive every couple of months and you will never have the problem again.

the fact that you can still get online is a good sign. you need to be more specific with the symptoms your computer has. you should do a full system scan with those programs you mentioned above. also, you can get tons of free scans if you google it. sometimes when one program doesn't get what's on your computer another one will. also, get updates first on your antivirus/firewall/spyware/adware then run full system scans.

Formatting you drive is the only way to be certain that you're rid of the "infections". Then install Windows Defender. Try using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE as your browser next time you surf.

Hmm download AVG its a very good free anti virus and scanner, picks upa alot that norton and others miss, also try yahoo spy.
If all else fails you could have a trojan thats deeply embedded, try a roll back to a system restore, if all else fails, nuke the harddrive and do a full reinstall to fix it.

Immediately go to www.microsoft.com and download Windows Defender. Also, download Live One Care (its free for 90days). It will help you to track down the spyware if any.
