My new hubby and I are planning on honeymooning in Las Vegas. Butttt..... checkout time is at noon, our return flight leaves at 5:30... so what do we do with our bags in the meantime? I have heard of lockers that you can pay to store your stuff at... but can't seem to find them... and since we are honeymooning, we have a lot of stuff and don't want to tote it around for five hours... Any suggestions? Heard of the lockers?

THANKS! :)

Many hotels have a late check-out that you can request (but, not until you arrive because of the limited quantities). If you are not able to get the late check-out time when you arrive, proceed to the bell desk.

They will check your bags for free (should tip at LEAST $1.00 - $2.00/bag). If you tip them more they will keep your bags in easier reach (for you when you need them again). You can stand in line for the cab & they'll load your bags right into the car (again tip them after recieving your bags).

You can also do this as soon as you arrive in Las Vegas. Most hotels do not let you check-in until 3:00 or 3:30 (even then there is no guarentee your room will be ready).

PS ~ I suggest on your check-out date you get there a little early. Sundays have enourmous lines for people checking their baggage. But, you will find heavy lines any day of the week around check-out time.

Have a great trip!

First of all, when you check in ask for a couple hour delay in checking out and make sure that they know its your honeymoon. They probably will NOT let you stay in the room until 4:00PM, but maybe 1:00 or 2:00 PM. Plus you need to get to the airport in Vegas a good 2 hours before your flight. Vegas is one of the busiest airports in the US and lines for checking in and to get through security can be really long, especially in the afternoon. So you need to be leaving the hotel shortly after 2:00 PM anyway. If you want to run around some that morning, you can always check your bags at the "Bell Desk:", You can just call the front desk and have them pickup your bags, they will give you a claim check. You tip the guy a couple dollars; then tip again when you retrieve them. We have done this many times. Then make sure you go claim your bag at least 15 to 20 minutes before you have to go to the airport; it takes them time to go get them sometimes.

Enjoy your honeymoon!!!

No lockers, but you can check out and leave your bags with the bell desk. They will hold your bags until you are ready to go. When you are ready to get a cab to the airport they will get your bags and take you out to a cab (you don't have to wait in the sometimes long cab lines).

What you could consider is either a late check out (of like 1pm) which doesn't really help much, or a possible half-day (but you wouldn't be able to get either until the night before you check out, if it is available), where they charge you half the going nightly rate of the room and they let you check out at 6p.
Or you could reserve the room one additional night and check out whenever you want, and they will usually only charge you a half-rate if you check out before 6p, but you guarantee having the room.
The half-day option is great so you could get up, do whatever you want, and still be able to shower and stuff before the flight.

Yes, the hotel will most likely hold your bags. You just need to tip the bellhop for doing so. Generally $1-$2 per bag held.

your hotel will store your baggage in their facilities until you are ready to go - the last I knew, it is free of charge

give them your bags upon checkout, hang out in the hotel until you have to leave for the airport, then retrieve your bags from the hotel
