You will never heal emotionally from the breakup if you continue to have sex with her. I presume that at some point in the future, you will want to have a new intimate partner. Well, as long as you're dragging your ex's baggage around, you'll find that difficult.

When a relationship is over, it's best to let it be over so that you can let the wound begin to heal. Like a scab that you constantly pick at with your fingernails, that emotional wound won't ever heal if you pursue sex with the ex.

Why do you both think you could never get back together? When it comes to love, never say never. It is obvious you both still feel something for each other and it is mutual, i wouldn't be against your coming back together.

You didn't say whether you have both now remarried though, if both have, then it would not be right.

What do you have to lose? She was your wife and all so it can't hurt unless you think it would emotionally if it was a flop.

No you should not pursue it at all! Let her go and divorce her!
