Yeah, but it's getting dumped by someone selfish and cowardly because they couldn't just say, I don't want to see you, so I know I have to sacrafice your friendship, because this is going to be painful. Sorry.

Yes 100% dumped I'm afraid. Its the 'letting you down gently' method, but is actually more cruel as it just gives you unrealistic hope. Sorry to sound so down about this.

pretty much. sorry. but sometimes you can remain friends, and your friendship is better and stronger than the dating relationship, sometimes you just cut your losses and smile and wave when you see them in the future.

sorry sure sounds like it. but then some ( who ever said it) realizes that this isnt what they want and come back. but once again it might really depend on that person that told you.
