Theres an extra day on the last week. Think how your birthday moves forward a day each year. Ther are actually 365 1/4 days in a year. The leap year every 4 years means this doesnt ever go out of synch too far

Every year has 52 of every day of the week except one, a year has 53 of one day of the week. EXCEPT leap year, which has 52 of 5 days of the week and 53 of the other two.
(a year is always 52x7 +1; except leap year which is 52x7+2).
If it's not a leap year, the year begins and ends on the same day of the week. If it is a leap year, the year ends on the next day of the week.
This year, 2006, will have 53 Sundays and 52 of each of the other six days.

The numbers used for calculating days and weeks are rounded so that it doesnt work out exactly(It takes the Earth 23 hours, 56 minutes and four (4) seconds to make one complete 360° rotation.) Then you have to take into account leap year every 4 years.

Geez, I gotta keep seeing these kinds of no-brain questions and no-brain answers???
THERE ARE 52 AND ONE/SEVENTH WEEKS IN A CALENDAR YEAR, THAT'S 365 DAYS.
AN ACTUAL SOLAR YEAR IS ROUGHLY 365 AND ONE/QUARTER DAYS -- THAT'S HOW LONG IT TAKES US TO TRAVEL AROUND THE SUN.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CALENDAR YEAR AND A SOLAR YEAR IS ROUGHLY ONE/QUARTER OF A DAY.
THIS IS WHY EVERY FOURTH CALENDAR YEAR WE ADD ONE DAY TO THE CALENDAR SO OUR CALENDARS DON'T FALL MORE THAN ONE DAY BEHIND ASTRAL/SOLAR YEARS.
I WANT ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO SAID WE ADD THE "MISSING" DAY ON LEAP YEAR TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND APOLOGIZE TO ALL YOUR TEACHERS FOR WASTING THEIR TIME.
