Watch their body if it's speaking to you! They tend to angle themselves to your direction, and seems to wanna get really close to you physically... Just try this simple one, place your hand near his and see if he'd move his hand away from you...

After reading all of the answers posted here so far, like flirting, eye contact, staring...those are the things I would have said. But recently I had an experience with someone that I thought had a mutual attraction to me and I thought that they were doing all of these things with me...I started the whole thing (the flirting, etc.) and felt like they were returning the feelings, especially because of the intense eye contact. Anyway, only to find out that I was totally misreading and misunderstanding the signs...I told that person how I felt about them and they quickly informed me that I must have misunderstood their friendliness for something else. Talk about being crushed...that broke my heart. Guess sometimes our perception is not what it seems...or else that person is lying and holding back their feelings. They are already in a relationship...I was also told, but so was I--but I was ending my relationship for several reasons, not only because of my feelings for this person. Anyway...don't always assume things. That's my point here !!!

body language can tell you a lot, for example, if a girl shows you her wrists or neck while you're talking to her and is making a lot of eye contact then she likes you. Also, if you're sitting next to her and her legs are crossed towards you, i.e. if right leg on left if you're sitting on her left and vice versa (if that made sense) then she probably likes you, too... Alternately, legs crossed away from you means she probably doesn't. Crossed arms is defensive, etc. read a book about it or something.

Oh, and if she looks at you from the other side of the room for a few seconds at a time, that's another sign that she's interested in you. Or if she touches you when you're talking, etc. Like I said, if you can interpret the body language, that will tell you a lot. Most of this applies to girls and guys, except for that first sentence.

EDIT: just noticed that the person asking this is a girl... Can't help you out as much as guys, seeing as I don't really care if a guy likes a girl :P. Still, most of the same things apply. Oh, and also when you're talking to someone, look at their feet, if one or both of their feet are pointing towards you, then said person wants to be talking to you, or at least is happy to talk to you.

The most obvious one would be them saying they like you. But, obviously they haven't, or you wouldn't be asking this question.

Some good signs would be that they like spending a lot of time with you, enjoy talking to you, and value you as a very good friend.

He looks admiringly at you and smiles. He seems to find a reason to be where you are at the same time you're there. He calls you on the phone, just to talk. He is always glad to see you. He talks to his friends about you. He makes you feel good about yourself. He compliments you a lot.

That person always look at you and sometimes take a glimpse of you. You will see in his eyes if he have this certain feeling about you.
In his acts, he is uneasy when you are near.

playing around with him/her and teasing, remembering what she/he says in a conversation mainly shows interests. Talking to her/him a lot, trying to get her/his attention in everything. and staring...

He stares at you all the time. When he meets you he acts strangely, he gets confused when he tries to tell you smth. Tries to get on your way "by chance".
