Relatively speaking the Bible is not that old. It was compiled (oh yes, COMPILED) some time in the fifth or sixth centuries AD. The Bible, we should remember, is NOT the word of God, but the word of MAN. And it was man who decided what would and what would not go in the Bible. Not God.
So if you want OLD books, what about Homer's 'Odyssey' and 'Iliad'? They are both nearly twice as old as the Bible and damn good stories as well.

Mahabharata. महाभारत
Kamasutra.
Book of the dead (although I did not literally read that)
Nag Hamadi scrolls

Not always in that order. Some days the Kamasutra ranks higher... much higher.

Oh I have this original "Faust" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in woodprint (1840something) with real etches. As a book (the thing) it is my favorite.

Really old books?
Homer is excellent; he wrote about Troy and its aftermath. "The Odessey" and "The Iliad".
A little newer, Shakespeare is truly incredible. My favorite of his that I've read is "A Midsummer's Night's Dream", but he has tons on various topics.
Even newer? "Faust"...I totally forgot the author right now. It's about a man who makes a deal with the devil, basically.
