Wich is best? the camaro or firebird Chevy is bring back the camaro in 2009 But it looks like the firebird has been forever replaced by the GTO.

Well call me a hick then. The camaro has always been the blue collar mans corvette. Fun to drive, just enough power and most of the time good looking.
From 96 to 02 the camaro and firebird had the same drivetrain. The firebird was just more expensive but did the same thing on the street. They both had there upgrades. Camaro had the SS and firebird had the Trans Am WS6. The camaro had the SLP edition and the bird had fire hawk.
I guess it boils down to what you like in the begging. Chevy or Pontiac. Since Chevy was the first to put the V-8 in a car, I'd think you'd have to go with Chevy.

They're going to replace the Firebird eventually, I guarantee it. They have already taken the GTO out of production, it won't be long now. It's probably gonna be nice too, because the GTO-styled V6 car isn't called the Firebird; they are saving it for something nice.
But in my opinion, the Camaro sucks. The only exception is the SS, which is overpriced. Older non-SS models are way better than the new ones, though. My dad has a '67 with the 327, it's not half bad.

I thnk that the Camaro is way better than the soon to be replaced firebird. I drive a 99 camaro ss and i love it there are so many upgrades and performance parts you can put on the camaro than the firebird. I love my camaro and I can't wait for the new one in 2009.

As the owner of 6 camaros including the current '97 Z28 30th anniversary edition I guess that I am partial to my Chevy. And like most camaro owners---we can't wait until the 2009 hits the streets!

same platform car just different trim and motor on the old ones, new ones are new generation look at the new 2009 Mustang Its part Austin Martin And The Rest FORD Power

The camero just reminds me of hicks, the trans am would be my pick.
