I believe that a couple should be allowed to get married whether they are 2 men, 2 women, or a man and a woman. If they love each other and are commited to each other they why shouldn't they marry? Or at least give the chance of a commonlaw marriage where they live together for so many years and are allowed to reap the benefits of marriage. They gays ans the lesbains of this world would just like to have equal rights along with everyone else. they want the right to make a CHOICE! That is all. Right now they cannot make a choice about marriage because that is taken away from them. Choice is what this world is all about!!!!!!!!!!

Barring a big enough asteroid collision, I don't believe any ONE thing could mean the "demise of civilization". It would almost always be a culmination of many things and changes. I think gay marriage could very possibly play a part of a downfall or at least indicate a downfall in progress.

WAY TOO MANY people see things in vacuums and fail to see how everything affects everything else.

Not to get all religious and sh** but if gay people are actually walking this earth would you not think that God did create him or her? it is said that god created all the living creatures. it is also said that you should not question god, we as humans cannot judge god himself. So why would a man judge god's creations? why would a man question god's creations? why does a man label another? if the lord had felt that your question would have any truth to it, he wouldn't have not created this. " the lord will not deliver unto you something that you would not be able to bear"
so my answer to ur question is no, gay marriages will not be the demise of civilization people who actually believe those things are true will make it the end of civilization.

No, probably not. But it is certainly a stepping stone in that direction. There are Biblical references to homosexuality and they're not viewed in a good light at all. It's a sign that "end of days" nears us. Marriage was designed to be between a man and a woman. It's a safe place for procreation of the species. There are many negative ripple effects to gay marriages. I personally don't believe they should be recognized or rewarded in any way for such behavior. It's not our place to judge gays, but I thank God for guidance in the matter.

Marriage is just a piece of paper that allows you to use each others insurance, receive benefits and file taxes differently. Gay couples should have the right to be protected in that way.

Sure. Gay marriage is the evil of all evil. Not all the murders, or the wars, or the corporate greed, or the political bull****, or the rapings, or the mass genocide in Africa, or the potential outbreak of diseases...

Gay marriage is the thing to worry about.

/sarcasm.

well i dont know anout the end of civilization but i know that it would destroy the sacred union of marriage between a man and a woman. No one is born like that it is a choice. Its just a matter of making the right choice.

Nope. But it is another step downward toward the end of civilization.

There isn't ONE action that will end society, it is the constant build-up and resistance to morals and rules.

No. I just ask that it is not called marriage. Marriage is a sacrament to me. Have a union- a commitment ceremony or whatever you want to call it and I will stand up for your right to have it. Just leave marriage sacred to me!

absolutely not! sorry if it upsets anyone, but it's really none of anyone's business how someone else chooses to live their life. why shouldn't a committed gay couple be allowed to make it legal?
