The Taj Mahal (Hindi: ताज महल, Persian, Urdu: تاج محل), is a monument located in Agra in India, constructed between 1631 and 1654 by a workforce of 20,000. The Muslim Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned its construction as a mausoleum for his favourite wife, Arjumand Bano Begum, who is better known as Mumtaz Mahal.

It is said that it was built by Shah jehan. But it is not true. I don't know exactly who built it ,but it was a Hindu king.He built it in mid of 12th century& it was a temple of Lord Shiva. Iwill ask you to read the book, Taj mahal_a Hindu temple. In this book it has proved that how british made a false statement and the whole story is changed.
