Bizarre that most of the answers refer to Roger Milla who is not, nor has ever been, English. The answer is Peter Shilton, 040 years 295 days in the third place play off game v Italy in 1990. English player playing for england i guess would be Stuart Pierce or Teddy Sheringham but thats a guess.
