There is no way I could ever bring myself to stealing from a homeless man. There would be other ways to be able to get home other than stealing from a homless person. If the worst thing that happened to you was that your jacket was stolen, then you have life pretty easy compared to some people that are sleeping on the side of the road
I just wanted to thank you for all the questions that really make you think about the questions

This is what really would happen- Somebody tries to steal my jacket at the club. I would see it and commence to lay down a thorough *** beating. I would get my **** back. Nobody would say **** to the cops, so no jail for me. After the club, I would put some cash in the homeless person's hat. Then I would sleep off my drunkenness in the car (to avoid jail), and drive to work the next morning as if nothing had happened.

No. That would be like me stealing the jacket. I would try to find a phone and contact someone. After the person I contacted arrived, I would borrow some money from them and buy the man a nice meal. After all, if you were out on the streets, wouldn't you like some good food?
And just so everyone knows....Taking money from a homeless is oviously stealing. And stealing is a sin.

What's with all this cloak and dagger stuff. The best solution all round, is to wake the guy up and explain the situation. Tell him that he can come and can have dinner with you at your place in exhange for the cab ride home.
He comes back, gets cleaned up and has a good feed. You are happy, he is even happier.
What on earth is wrong with people these days when stealing is the better answer than talking to someone?

Yea to be honest i would take it too, shall i tell you why- well im going to,
The majority of homless people out there nowadays are only out there to make that money up to get themselves a good decent drink. it really is just the few that are genuine now, it is approximatly 25% of genuine homeless out on the street like that and if you think about it why would a homeless guy leave it all out in view? Thats what i wondered.
So its only you that has got to live with yourself for doing it anyway, so dont worry about what anyone else says.

No I wouldn't steal from the homeless. I would call the cops to tell them about my stolen jacket and money. Then ask them if they could give me a lift home. It's there duty to serve and protect so they should definitely give you a ride home.

it depends on if I was drunk or not; if I was sober then absolutely not. If I was drunk then possibly, i dont have the same morals when I'm drunk. But more than likely I'd just call me best mate reverse charges and get him to pick me up.
I would feel awful if I did tho.

No way, not my money I wouldn't take it. I would walk or call the cops to pick me up home if walking in the area is dangerous

I'd take enough to get home, if I was really stuck, if he was awake I would ask him first, but I wouldn't want to wake him.
If he did wake up I'd explain the situation.
mcdarby how would you use the payphone, with no money?
