Like a human being. If you should have a child with down's, you will love it just like any other of your children. I saw the cutest little girl with downs the other day. She was at Mc Donald eating ice cream with her brothers. She had the cutest pigtails, and the most beautiful smile...

I'm not sure if you mean medically or socially. But I taught children with Down Syndrome. The best advice I would give is to expect the same things from him/her that you would expect from a child without Down Syndrome, but that if he/she needs help give it. The parents who expected their children to do chores around the house and to behave appropriately, raised kind, responsible children who happened to have Down Syndrome. Children with DS can learn, and take pride in their accomplishments. It just may take them a bit longer to learn. All of the children I've know with DS have been very loving and affectionate. They were a gift, and great fun to be around.

There is NO cure for Down's Syndrome. The best that be hoped for is that it is a mild case. Downs children should be treated in a normal fashion, like all kids.

like any other child, my cousin has down sydrome and other interlectual disabilties and my mother has worked with interlectual disablities for over 15 years and one thing i hate and she hates is seeing a someone being treated different because they are disabled, you gotta give them abit more patientence then a normal child because they can be slower but they are not completly stupid they know what is going on and understand what they and people are them are saying and doing
