Every baby is different, but average is between 9 and 17 months. Some children will walk early, and some late. My oldest, for instance, was (still is!) a perfectionist. He walked late, but he didn't take a "first step"--he walked across the room. And my youngest only took her first step at 17 1/2 months because she was more interested in talking than walking.

Some as early as 10 months - maybe a little earlier bit not usually. I have a friend who has a 17 month old who, although she can stand, will not walk without holding on to at least someone's finger.

Whenever they are ready they will start walking. My kids started right around 12 months, but it's normal to start before or after that. Depends on the child.

I'm not sure there's any particular rule to this.
But if the Baby's not walking by 18 months old there could be something wrong, best take them to see a Doc.

All babies are different. Most babies start walking between 11 months and 18 months. If you are concerned you should contact your child's pediatrician.

It depends on them. Some walk before they crawl and vice versa. My son is 9 1/2 mos. and he's taking steps on his own. His cousin was really walking til he was 1 yr. It all depends on if they're ready for it.
