All have good info on how to know.. If you want to look at a book or video/dvd try your local libray.. many libraries have knitting books and now there are videos/dvds to teach knitting.

www.lionbrand.com has some really great instructions. Also
if you go to a craft store, like Michaels, there are some great books you can buy pretty inexpensive.
