I would tell them all that the most important things in life are not Pop Stars, Celebrity's, or Celebrity Couples....not video games, not who is richer, or has the most things....nothing materialistic is going to buy you happiness .... appreciate the things you are blessed with in your life....especially your Family & Friends....some of which you had, and some of which you lost...along the way. Also, be your person,...and think for yourself. Always question what is being told or taught to you that you have a question about or are uncertain about. One more thing, ... I would tell them that if they truly want or are passionate about something ....no matter what , they will succeed if they keep at it and want it bad enough!
Always learn from your mistakes!! Always embrace new things ( as long as they don't hurt you or hurt anyone else ) and keep an open mind, try to remain positive even when you don't feel like it and things are not going your way at the moment...you always have time to change them and turn them around!!

Not only does it make us age faster, but it can also be a cause for skin cancer.
I think that I would tell them to become their own individual person. Try not to be followers and avoid peer pressure. Although they don't realize it yet, we are all respected more for making our own decisions no matter what our age. This is one very critical part of our personal growth that people hear of, but don't work on as often as we should. Every thing we do is a learning experience and we should always treat our mistakes and accomplishments as just that. Erickson has a pretty good theory on this and although it can be boring for some of our youth, I recommend that they read up on the life stages he developed.

I agree with Muggles. It seems we had similar childhoods. I raised 4 children and as soon as they were old enough to understand, I taught them about salvation through Jesus Christ. I also warned them of strangers and gave them a pass word. It works like this. If a stranger comes up to you and tells you that your mother asked them to pick you up and bring you home, ask them for the password. If they don't know it, run like hell and get a policeman. I told them that would be the only way they would know if I asked someone they did not know. One more thing. tell your daughter they can get pregnant the first time.

You are young, my son, and, as the years go by, time will change and even reverse many of your present opinions. Refrain therefore awhile from setting yourself up as a judge of the highest matters.

I think its very true......something every adolescent/child has to remember
