Christianity is fraudulent, It is based on someones insane belief that a being created the universe in 7 days....HELLO?
Scientology's motto alone says it - "A civilization without insainity, without criminals and without war -where honesyt beings have rights and where the able can prosper and man is free to rise to greater heights"
Why is it that these small minded people riddicule something because it is new? The media seems to like harrassing the church because it doens't reduce to a 'sound bite' i.e. It is hard to cover scientology in a small article, so the find some utter crap that they pulled out their Ar*es and then it gets a bad wrap - The media has a lot to answer for in this day and age.
*Anything derogatory towards Scientology will be reported* this doesnt include constructive criticism!

Who are you to say that Christianity is fraudulent? Were you there? Can you disprove any of the foundation of it? The answer is simple, No!
First off, get your facts straight before you decide to bash something and talk well of something you have very little knowledge on. Christianity is founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ, not that the Universe was created in 7 days. Sure creation is a large part of it, but it isn't the basis of our belief.
Secondly, why is it that Scientology, which was written as a sci-fi book, wasn't created until a man thought it up in the mid 1900's? Judaism, Islam, and Christianity all trace there origins back to the beginning of time and have stood the test of time for thousands of years. All of which draw there beginnings back to the Old Testament history that you referred to.
What is harder to believe, that a infinitely powerful being could create the universe or that tiny body thetans that are attached to someone's spirit therefore creating a body that imprisons us to this world and only by the removal of these thetons can one become an all-powerful disembodied spirit that no longer needs a physical body?
Come on, this notion that you are criticizing of a single all-powerful being is at the heart of Scientology except that all of us have it in us to become one. Scientology's teachings are filled with discrepancies. The New Testament was written by several different men on what they had seen and there is not one discrepancy between them. How can that be? How is it that despite the various backgrounds and point of views of these men, none differ from another? If you can interpret ancient writtings you could read the old testament from ancient writings that date back to between 200BC-68AD. No other nonfiction book can trace its origins back to even 1500 AD. Despite having been translated several times over the years to different languages, it still holds true to those oldest of writings.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but not with nasty comments please. I don't know that much about Scientology except what I heard from Tom C on the today show. You don't believe in taking medications for certain ailments. You see, Christians believe that God gave men and women the ability to heal people through medicine. St Luke, on of the apostles, was a doctor. he followed Jesus and Jesus once said, "Physician, heal thyself." God gave man the aptitude to be doctors and if it came from God as a gift to the human race, then we should use this. I know there is a lot more to it than just medicine and perhaps I should read up on it. I am a born again Christian and one thing we are taught is never to put another religion down because good will come out of every church.

I have discovered there is much more in the bible and what you seem to believe are only make belief stories. Every part of the bible, mythology and ancient writings reveal encrypted math and science that still is being revealed, and I expect it will take many more decades before what really lies behind them, is understood.
The world was created in 6 days, the 7th was rest=nothing done=day 8 is day 1=Monday
Also, if look at 7, it = energy=days of week; the 0=nothing done is also light
I am not going to go into too much details in here but much is shared where science, mythology and ancient Mayans, Egyptians and much more like time all finds relevance to each other-oh, lets not forget Christ, who had absolute perfect relevance to it all.
Please feel free to take a very long browse and read through my blog and msn group to try and grasp what is unfolding. It may open your imagination a little, or you may believe it is the vivid imagination of me, but it is there for you to come to your own conclusions to it all.

because it's been said that scientology was created by a man, to see what would happen... He himself only refers to scientology as a religion "by its basic tenets". It started as a ''self help'' group....
religion is defined as :
1. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
2. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
So, if scientology follows that, then I suppose it could be considered a religion....
I just wouldn't want to pay for The Answer....
Scientology is a system of beliefs and practices created by American pulp fiction author L. Ron Hubbard in 1952 as a self-help philosophy. By 1960 Hubbard had redefined it as a "religion by its basic tenets". The Church of Scientology, by far the largest organization promoting the belief system of Scientology, is sometimes referred to simply as "Scientology".
The Church of Scientology presents itself as a religious non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of the human spirit and providing counseling and rehabilitation programs. Church spokespeople claim that Hubbard's teachings (called "technology" or "tech" in Scientology terminology) have saved them from addictions, arthritis, depression, learning disabilities, mental illness, cancer, homosexuality and other perceived problems.
The controversial organization has attracted much criticism and distrust throughout the world because of its closed nature and strong-arm tactics in handling critics. Lawmakers, including national governing bodies of several countries, have characterized the Church as an unscrupulous commercial organization, citing harassment of critics and exploitation of its members. Scientology's principles have been characterized as pseudoscientific by scientists, medical doctors and psychotherapeutic practitioners. Although some religious scholars have deemed Scientology a religion [2] it has frequently been perceived as a cult and a pseudoreligion.
There are approximately 55,000 Scientology adherents in the United States according to a survey published by the U.S. Census bureau. The worldwide number of adherents is disputed. The Church of Scientology claims between 8 to 10 million followers. Adherents.com suggests there may be 500,000 adherents worldwide while other groups say the number is likely to be less than 100,000 in total.

One of the human rights is freedom of thought and freedom of speach.. Any religion, be it christianity or scientology, is fabricated by the people who believe in it. As christians believe that their god has the power to do the things that are described in detail in the bible, so will people who believe in scietology believ in wat is written about it.. The media is probably the main to blame for the seperation between scientology and christianity, instead of embracing them both as religions of the modern age.. Just as christianity is accepted in large scales, why not all the other religions that are becoming just as accepted into peoples lives.. I back you..

I think its your self appointed spokesperson that is stirring up controversy.
I think other than vocal minorities, most people don't really care what others believe.
However, you have just done the same thing you hate in this post to Christianity. So obviously Scientology doesn't teach you to be any better of person than Christianity....
