My wife's father did perform fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, but I will spare you that speach. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

The I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricon One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional movie about a fake mission to mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we simply don't have the resources nor technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you they they would have called is out if they have evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 30+ years, scientist have been beaming lasers to the moon and meansuring the return times. How are they doing this? Because the beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on in onto 1 but 3 different locations.

there may be a bunch of kooks out there who believe it was a hoax but unfortunately you will never know the truth from the government. the government has lied about a lot of things and you poor saps that believe everything you have been fed by them are ignorant.

you must research to find the truth. when people research and find things that conflict is it bull$hit?

i wonder how large the budget was for creating the world's longest runway (buildings above/below ground) in the middle of the desert? of course nobody new of it during construction in the late 50's. that was a black project budget. it would sound silly wouldn't it? like that tv show that was out back then...time tunnel...this huge underground base in the middle of the desert...how silly and unrealistic that such a facility could exist in the middle of nowhere.

oh but it does exist, and where did the funding come from? that apollo budget would come in handy then. the terrain is the same as the moon complete with craters. great place to film a hoax.
and where do you suppose training would take place for advanced air & spacecraft? somewhere in the middle of nowhere!

i guess all the hi-ranking military officials that have confessed on their death beds about hoaxed landings and handling wreckage of crashed ufo's are full of cr@p as well?

recently nasa has announced that the flag on the moon is no longer there because the thrust of the rocket when leaving blew it apart. was that said because one day when we "return" we won't ask where is it? maybe we should see if a blast crater is there when we do return? maybe they will say there is no evidence left of the historical landing spot because of meteor impacts? clever.

But then you believe they can just send a man to the moon with a spacecraft that has less computing power than your average calculator? What about the 4 feet of led required to shield deadly radiation? Even the manufacturer of the spacesuits admitted it can't protect the crew. They would have died a painful death before they even came back to earth!

How can people believe we never went? How can people believe we did? Just because they said they did?
In a court of law you need to prove your case without a shadow of a doubt. There is plenty of doubt here!

Lunar rocks can be found on earth as meteorites at the poles.
It doesn't take thousands of nasa employees to keep a secret, only a handful of people - as pre-programmed life vitals and ship sensors were fed to their monitors at mission control. The only thing that was real was the lift-off which placed them in earth orbit.

Are you people scientists, physicist, rocket engineers? So I must then ask again. WHY DO YOU BELIEVE? BECAUSE YOU WERE TOLD.

I cannot confirm that we never went. However, I can confirm that things do not add up. that there is evidence to suggest that the first visit to the moon can and most likely is a hoax.

It is NOT a theory that the U.S. landed men on the moon. It is a fact.

Yes, we landed on the moon -- several times.
Yes, we left things on the moon that can still be seen today.
Yes, we left a flag on the moon -- but it wasn't flapping in the breeze in the famous photo: its momentum after being unfurled has kept it moving in the absence of anything to slow it down.

Yes, there can be shadows on the moon -- all that is required is for something to block sunlight. No atmosphere is required.

Yes, we brought back samples of dust and rocks that have been studied for nearly 40 years. And there's nothing like them anywhere on Earth.

No, we haven't gone back since the landings because there are no economically viable reasons to do so in this modern era of cost-effectiveness and the bottom line driving science. But just because we haven't been back doesn't mean we were never there in the first place.

The U.S. was in a major competition with the Soviets to prove our scientific superiority. If we'd never landed on the moon, and it was all a sham, do you think the thousands of NASA employees would be able to keep the secret?

There have been spies from lots of countries hostile to the U.S. deeply embedded in lots of our programs, to include NASA. Do you think every other nation in the world would remain complicit in the "greatest hoax ever perpetrated"?

So cut the psuedo-scientific claptrap and just accept it. Conspiracy theorists don't have a bloody clue, and their "explanations" and "claims" are a bunch of BS.

US landing on moon is not a "theory" any more that George Washington being a "theory"! There are a number of kooks out there who have convinced themselves that the moon landings were a gigantic hoax, and that all the money supposedly spent on the space program was actually siphoned off and spent by someone on something else!

In a video clip showing the USA flag on the moon; in that the flag is waving becoz of wind! But actually there is no wind on moon! The flag should stay as how it was kept!.

It's interesting that you call yourself 'sans-rock', because no reputable scientists that I have heard have ever claimed that the Moon rocks brought back were not real. In fact, I have not even heard any disreputable scientists claim that. They compare to meteorites, and to the rocks that are believed to have come from the Moon and Mars as a result of being kicked up by meteor impacts there. There are also transmitters that were left on the moon, and laser reflectors. It is possible to track the transmissions and find that they come from the direction of the Moon; that the reflections of laser beams from the Moon come from the specific sites where we claim to have visited. I think it's true.

I'm not an american, i'm Malaysian, but i TRULY believe they landed on moon.

I'm a physics student,majoring in astronomy. They took back samples from there...ranging from rocks to sand..and it can't be fake.

I repeat...moon's rock can't be fake...they were distributed across the globe for scientific study,i study one of those things,God it was nowhere from earth,because it was originated from outside the world,the moon.

If you study astronomy,you will know to fake the moon's rock is a very hard job...almost nearly impossible.it's easier to go to the moon itself rather than to fake it,it is a damn tough job...

You can say it was taken using robotic probe,not human.But how about millions of people monitoring their journey to the moon? it was carefully watched and scientifically studied by millions of people across the globe,can you faked all of them?

Please stop all this silly arguments...you American had landed on the moon.Be pride of your own nations...

I am in wonder of HOW on EARTH do people NOT believe we landed on the moon. AND don't forget, the CCCP landed there also. Why is it so difficult for y'all to believe this? Is it because you DON'T want us to have advanced?
