Of course it's okay to dance in the elevator.

Why do you think they have music in them????

The hotel knows there's nothing like "The girl from Ipanema" to make you want to Samba all over that elevator.
Just make sure you wear your six inch heels, something flowy and lots of bling-bling.

Why not? Elevators were actually invented for dancing in to that awesome piped-in music. If not, what else is it then for?

Your question along with your web address is an oxymoron. You are asking about etiquette while being rude sending someone to that nonsensical web address that throws you offline.

I thought I was going to see dancing in an elevator. Instead I get that crap

Wasn't very nice.

Hello Marjorie Ast.,

IT'S VERY MUCH OKAY AND ACCEPTABLE TO DANCE in the elevator to that awesome piped-in music.

AS LONG AS there is enough space and you don't hit other people in the elevator and as long as YOU DON'T SHED YOUR CLOTHES DOWN.

if alone, yes by all means, get your boogie on. However, the more on the elevator the more the excitability of said dancing goes down exponentially!

Yes, but I would think you might want to be alone on the elevator.

If you are alone and way under the maximum weight allowed - sure it's fine.
