When Jesus Christ was on earth, the Roman soldiers drank a thin, tart, or sour, wine known in Latin as acetum (vinegar), or as posca, when it was diluted with water. This was likely the drink offered to Jesus Christ while he was on the torture stake. Jesus refused the sour wine drugged with myrrh (or gall) that was presented to him to alleviate his suffering. (Mr 15:23; Mt 27:34; compare Ps 69:21.) However, just before he expired, he received plain sour wine from a sponge when it was put to his mouth.
With his dying breath, Jesus could cry out in triumph, “It has been accomplished!” (John 19:30) Not only had he proved his own integrity but he had succeeded in laying the basis for the salvation of mankind—and more important, the vindication of Jehovah’s sovereignty!
As far as preaching the word, one of the signs of the last days Jesus said would be this: Matt. 24:14 "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." World wide preaching, involving many persons.

Jesus came to establish man back with a relationship to the Father,he did that and that is what he meant when he said... I have finished the work thou gavest me to do. Jesus also said that he had the power to lay down his life and the power to take his life up again, this commandment I received from the Father. Jesus is the head of the body of Christ and he gave some Apostles,Prophets,Evangelists,Pastors, and Teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Preaching is supposed to be for the children of God that are in err of the word to get them back in line with the word so they can be blessed and be in unity with the body of Christ.

Jesus recounted the persons have been napping and now not useless for the reason that he was once proper. Today's Christians for a few cause believe that after persons die now we have an immortal soul that is going to heaven. This isn't real. This isn't what Jesus taught. Jesus taught that no human has ascended to heaven, handiest Jesus himself has long gone to heaven. All guys are useless and within the graves. Jesus will go back once more to earth as he has recounted countless instances within the Bible. When he returns EVERYONE who has died can be raised to lifestyles once more to be judged. Those judged important will reside eternally within the Kingdom so that they can be headquartered ON EARTH. Jesus can be our King. Those judged evil will die terrible deaths and they'll be wiped from our recollections like they in no way existed. That is why Jesus was once pronouncing that nobody will face loss of life till the prophecies are fulfilled, for the reason that the Kingdom has now not come but, so the judgement and loss of life of the evil persons has now not occurred but. Everyone nonetheless has a hazard to be within the Kingdom so our deaths now are viewed a "sleep" by way of God and Jesus till Jesus' go back and our resurrection to judgement.

John 19
...28Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." 29A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. 30When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
It says in verse 35
...The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled:
He had to fulfill the prophecy in order for everything to be true. That is what was finished... his fate. He knew that he was going to die on the cross for our sins and when it was time for him to go, he knew that it was over. That the atonement for our sins was made.
Then of course he rose again three days later. Which is my favorite part!

Have you ever wondered about the reason of our existence? Have you ever wondered why we die, and where we go after death? What will happen to us in the end? Have you ever asked yourself why God made the earth and all that is in it under man’s dominion? Why were the night and the day, and the sun and the moon created? What are we supposed to do during our lifetime? Were we created just to eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves before we die? As one poet put it:
“I do not know whence I have come.
I saw my feet walking on the road.
As they please I go and stop.
What am I doing here?
How did the road find me?
I do not know! I do not know! I do not know! ”
God has emphasized in many verses of the Qur’an that He did not create us without purpose. He said: “What! Do you think that I created you simply in jest? And that you would not be returned to Me?” (23:115) He also said: “What! Does man think that he will be left to roam at his will?” (75:36) In addition, He said: “Do people think that they will be left to say: “We believe,” and they will not be held accountable?” (29:2)
Indeed, God Has created human beings for a purpose and with a purpose: TO WORSHIP HIM ALONE (Monotheism). He said: “I have not created the Jinn and humankind except only to worship Me. I don't require provision or feeding from them. Surely Allah is the All-provider, the Possessor of all strength, the Firm.” (51:56-58) In fact, all prophets told their people to worship God alone (Monotheism) and shun worshipping His creation (Paganism). God said: “I assuredly sent among every people a messenger with the command: Worship Allah and avoid worshipping false gods.” (16:36)
Prophet Abraham, for example, believed in One God, who had no partner. Anyone who holds a different understanding of God than this has contradicted the religion of Abraham and follows falsehood. God says in the Qur’an: “Those who reject the religion of Abraham make fools of themselves.” (2:130)
Prophet Jesus was reported in the Gospels to have said: “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’.” (Luke 4:8)
Prophet Jacob also said (in the Qur'an) to his people: “Indeed, those which you worship besides Allah are only names that you and your forefathers have established, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the right religion, but most people do not understand.” (12:40)

Yes Psalm 22. Many believe Christ taught the entire Psalm.
Psa 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
Psa 22:31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
(that he hath done this) is equivalent to "it is finished".
Psalm 22 is not given to the chief musician. It's for private study and not public worship.
