As a mere male, I think I would avoid wearing pink ones with "Big Boy" embroidered across the front ... maybe also ones with lace edges. Brown stripes (especially at the back) don't do a great deal to enhance one's image, either.
As with any underwear, the easier it is to remove without fumbling, the better.
