Stourport and Stourbridge are pretty. Bewdley has some nice picnic areas and parks. Or try walking round Knowle - canals, dog friendly pubs and it's very very pretty, there is also an animal rescue centre with some unusual animals. Park on The Black Boy or The Heron's Nest pubs.

Here's what i am doing, heading for the Malvern Hills, finding a nice pub, visit some farm shops and buy enough stuff for a picnic, and collapsing somewhere in shropshire. the plan isn't completely finalised yet.

chester zoo give the dog chance to look up some old mates as well and there are some nice facilities there these days even rain wouldn't spoil the day
