Ask him out for coffee. Then ask him would he think that the 2 of you would ever have another chance and what he thought of the idea. Be open and honest, you might just be surprised at the response you get. Don't get your hopes up to high, cause it might just ruin the friendship. Hope it all works out ok. All the best.

ask him on a date... drink red wine and casually drop into the conversation that you want to have lots of sex and babies with him... kidding. just tell the guy, you have a past so you can be honest and open with him because you know him.
