Excellent!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with you entirely. It is refreshing to find a Christian who is willing to accept that other people can have different beliefs. You have restored my faith in people. Thank You

Many churches make a gross mistake that if you are not being a productive member you're not a true believer. They tie thier pride up in the fact that a growing church testifies to the correctness of thier doctrines. Worse they leave many of their own members feeling empty the whole time they focas on "The Machine" of a living church verses the life of souls in the church. The fact of the matter is that there are pastors, teachers, apostles, evangelists, and prophets. These are personality types, not offices. The church has made a gross error in this! A pastor is simply the same as a meloncoly. A teacher is simply a sanguine. An apostle is simply a phlematic. An evangelist is simply a coloric. Last of all, only God calls the prophets and makes them to be prophets; this is His choice, not man's. The answer to your question is that you don't feel compelled to "argue" because God didn't gift you that way. Let the evangelistic (arguementive coloricis) do that, it is thier gift when used for God, (and everyones torment when not). Let the pastors find the ultimate truths of God. It's the gift of God to a meloncoly to live in misery seeking what's right. Let the apolstle counsel. It is the gift of God of a phlematic to bring peace. Let the teachers, bring the message alive. It is the gift of God for a sanguine to bring laughter and fun to a mundan world. Last of all God calls the prophets as He will from wherever he will to do the task He will at any given time, or not. Be what God gifted you to be and don't let others (who do not understand thier gift verses your's) pressure you to be arguementive, an extreem faster, bright and shinning or whatever...... Be what God gifted you to be, please, the church needs this and this only from you, and it's Gods plan for you as well as the rest of us. How do I know these things? I'm a (God gifted) pastor, who has been driven to fast and pray through my miserey (insashable drive toward ultimate truth) and give birth to new understanding and perspective to the church. Love Tom (sorry spell check crashed)

I don't think it's wrong. Arguing with other people's belief is not the way to proove what is right. Argument is only used in places like the court of law where arbitration can be legally and peacefully settled even though both sides do not necessarily agree to the final decision.
What people would want to usually see and understand is not the result or outcome of an argument but the good example of being practiced by those who would want to stress a valid point. Arguments are serviced by way of the mouth while a good example comes from those who really practice what they preach that has the power to change even the hardest of hearts.
What is really your truth, what is mine and what are theirs? Actually there is no your truth or my truth or their truth but only the real truth. One truth that has been too elusive to all of us if we all do not submit to the demands of JUSTICE. Can my truth save you or your truth save me or their truth save us both? Who knows? But where justice is, there the truth will always be revealed.

It is not wrong to avoid confrontational debates and arguments with other faiths and to communicate it in a respectful manner when you say so.
If you do intend to ask a question directly to a specific group, say to "CHRISTIANS ONLY", then word it properly as such without adding unnecessary or incindiary remarks to others. But even if you segmentize your question to read "Christians Only: What/Why/How .....??" you can never avoid other non-Christians from responding to your questions at their own whim, including those whose intentions are maliciously done.
In such cases, your best bet is not to lower yourself to their level but be mature enough to simply ignore such responders. Don't even bother to take it personally at all. Otherwise, that merely means that you LOST in their fish-and-bait game. Just move on!
Peace be with you...

as a Christian, you don't have to argue. Truth triumphs over lies every time. Be compassionate. When someone belittles your God, or mocks your Savior. what is Jesus going to do for you when you die? Depart from me, I never knew you?
Take your Stand for Christ, like He will take a Stand for you.
Don't give opinions. Everyone has a opinion. Your is no better than anyone Else's.
Give Scriptural facts. "GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE".

It is not wrong unless you reply by saying your god is the only way like some Christians do because thats highly hypocritical. Im Wiccan and think that people should respect others beliefs. Blessed be.

there is a story of blind men........these people once came across an elephant...........
they know how an elephant sounds like....but never seen it coz they are blind..........
one man felt the trunk of the elephant and thought "elephant is like a large pipe"
another man felt, the ears of the elephant and thought "elephant is like a very thick sheet"
another man felt the side of the elephant and thought that "elephant is like a wall"
another man felt the tail of the elephant and thought "elephant is like a rope"
so , when they discussed about their experience.......they started quarreling saying I am right and you are wrong.......(about the elephant)...
this turned into a big fight..........and at last they went to a sage to sort it out......
the sage said "you are all right and you are all wrong"
its true what each one of you said......elephant is like a wall and elephant is like a snake......and a large pipe.........
elephant is all these..........and also so much more.......
you only know about one part of the elephant and you think that your experience is only correct............
this is the same with religions............god is the elephant......and all religions are like the blind men........
each is right......but god is more than what all religions can together express........we think that only our experience is right and that the others are wrong...........

Actually, the Bible does say to Be not a debator... but.. maybe this will help you...
Romans 3
1What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
3What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? 4Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written:
"So that you may be proved right when you speak
and prevail when you judge."[a]
5But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?" 8Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say—"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved.
No One is Righteous
9What shall we conclude then? Are we any better[b]? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
11there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one."[c]
13"Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit."[d]
"The poison of vipers is on their lips."[e]
14"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."[f]
15"Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16ruin and misery mark their ways,
17and the way of peace they do not know."[g]
18"There is no fear of God before their eyes."[h]
19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
Righteousness Through Faith
21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
27Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. 28For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. 29Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Of course. It's foolish - and indeed, immoral - to tell people that they ought to believe something which cannot be demonstrated to exist at all. If more people felt as you do, there would be a lot less conflict in the world.
