I helped my brother tone up for his soccer finals so his day typically went like this:

- wake up at 7 am
- eat fruit for breakfast
- lift weights (just little dumbells)
- go bicycling
- eat a TLC sandwich for lunch (that's tomato lettuce cheese between 2 slices of whole-wheat bread)
- go swim laps
- eat a salad (lots of vegetables and fruits plus fish and olive oil) for dinner

He's very energetic nowadays and remember to get your 8 hours of sleep so don't stay up past 11pm!

Exercise: low impact activities! for cardio, do cycling, walking and swimming. for muscle building do weights. Don't jog, run, or anything painful unless your masochistic.
Food: reduce meat, egg, carbohydrate and dairy products; increase vegetable and fruit consumption, particularly high protein, high vitamin, high mineral, low fat and low sugar items. Beans, lentils, nuts, soy, etc are very good. green leafy vegetables and crunchy fibrous fruit and vegetables are excellent. Organic produce is the BEST you can get, especially those grown in highly fertile soil.
Avoid: cooking, processing, adding salt, MSG, pre-prepared products, Genetically modified (GM) products, and no-so-fresh products.
Most importantly, listen and feel what your body is asking for. Satisfy cravings with healthy alternatives, for example if you love chocolate eat quality dark chocolate with no dairy, like Lindt Excellence 85% cocoa.
Lastly: The most important thing is to keep the most important thing the most important thing, so regardless of what ANYONE says, if you body is asking for something, answer it. If your anemic (whiter than you normally are), give iron, protein and energy food. There are so many other examples, the point is do what you FEEL is right.

It depends on what physique you would like, obviously if you want to be leaner, it's good to do cardio, if you want to be muscular weight training would be good.
If you're under eight-teen it's good to eat a balanced diet, just read labels, cut out unhealthy fats and eat plenty of fruits and veggies....boys don't stop growing until their early twenties.
